The Beginning of Alkareem London

Alkareem London began with a simple realisation. Growing up wearing the hijab, our founder often felt there was a gap in modest fashion, a lack of pieces that felt as modern and stylish as they were modest. In 2020, at nineteen, she set out to close that gap herself.

The idea was straightforward but ambitious: to bring modest fashion into the mainstream, without asking women to choose between their values and their style. That conviction remains the foundation of everything we make today.

Our collections bring together modesty, contemporary design, comfort and quality, built to help women and young girls feel confident in what they wear. For us, modesty has never been a limitation. It is a form of confident self-expression.

The Meaning of Alkareem

"Al-Kareem" is one of the ninety-nine names of Allah, meaning "the Most Generous". It was chosen with intention, to reflect the values we wanted this brand to be built upon: generosity, kindness, integrity and giving back.

From the beginning, Alkareem London was created to be more than a fashion label. The name serves as a quiet reminder of the values at the heart of everything we do, from how we treat our customers and the people we work with, to the causes we support along the way. As the brand continues to grow, that meaning remains central to our identity, a reminder to grow with purpose.

Every Alkareem London piece begins its life in London, shaped by the city's quiet confidence and by the values we hold at the centre of the brand: modesty as philosophy, an unwavering devotion to craft, and elegance without effort. Each collection is designed here first, considered in silhouette and detail, before it ever reaches production.

Ethically Made in Dubai

Once a design is finished, it is brought to life by skilled artisans in Dubai, ethically sourced and made with a strong focus on quality, comfort and longevity. Every detail is considered, from the fabric selected to the fit perfected, so each piece drapes beautifully while providing the coverage modest fashion requires. Many of our pieces also feature intricate, hand-finished detailing, some taking up to thirty hours to complete. It is a slower way of working, but it is the only way we know how to do this properly.

Alkareem London is proudly based in the UK, and it remains the heart of what we do. Orders within the UK arrive within 2 to 3 working days.We also ship internationally, with delivery times varying by destination, so that women beyond Britain can wear Alkareem London too.
